Internet Research Portion of CUL 125

This portion of the course meets on Wednesdays from 2:30 to 4:30
Attendence is extremely important. Absences will be excused only by Mrs. Schomberg and/or Mr. Kimber.
In these sessions, one will:
  1. Establish an email address.
  2. Learn to search the internet for information on various culinary topics.
  3. Determine the validity of this information.
  4. Move information from the internet to a local computer. You will need a 3.5", double density floppy disk.
  5. Prepare and present a 10 to 12 minute research presentation of this topic using Powerpoint as taught by Mrs Tingen in another session,
  6. Critique your peers in their presentation.

Establish e-mail address,

Choose research Topic
Week 2 Research and Individual Instruction as needed. Your presentation should have a definite structure as listed in the outline at this location
Week 3 Research and Individual Instruction as needed.
Week 4 Research and Individual Instruction as needed. Begin to get Powerpoint presentation in order.
Week 5 Research and Individual Instruction as needed. Begin to finalize research and work on powerpoint presentation.
Week 6 Research and Individual Instruction as needed. Finalize research and work on powerpoint presentation.
Week 7 Research and Individual Instruction as needed. Finish research and polish powerpoint presentation.
Week 8 Tuesday........Individual 10-12 minute Powerpoint Presentations and group critique
Wednesday...Individual 10-12 minute Powerpoint Presentations and group critique
Thursday.......Individual 10-12 minute Powerpoint Presentations and group critique
